The Standing Conference
provides a key role for engaging and seeking agreement
from within the wider Partnership. It is a forum for partners to
receive updates on recent partnership activity, and it allows
partners to communicate with each other, share and celebrate
best practice, debate key issues for the county and influence
the general direction of NSP.
The Standing Conference is open to any
and all partners who represent a community of interest in the
public, private, community or voluntary sector in
Northumberland. Partners are
given the opportunity to engage in consultation and comment on
partnership proposals.
The Standing Conferences are
held regularly, and at least every eighteen months. The format usually includes an
update on recent issues, along with a range of presentations,
workshops and feedback sessions. Although the meetings are open to
all, attendance will usually be by invitation following
expression of interest (depending on the limitations of the
size of the venue).
