About NREG

The Northumberland Renewable Energy Group (NREG) was formed in 2002 and is made up of public and private sector organisations from across the county that are involved or interested in renewable energy and energy efficiency.

The promotion of renewable energy research, development and applications within Northumberland has the potential to open up significant new opportunities for business growth, new business start-ups, inward investment and skills development in Northumberland and the wider region.  By taking this joined-up approach and securing economic, social and environmental benefits from renewable energy, Northumberland will also make an effective contribution to the regional and national agenda.

Further information can be found on the following links:

The group meets quarterly and has developed a social networking exchange site at www.northumberlandrenewable.ning.com  (information is also sent out via a mailing list).
